Bp. Singh et R. Prasad, MEASUREMENT AND ANALYSIS OF EXCITATION-FUNCTIONS FOR THE REACTIONS HO-165(ALPHA, XN) (X=1-3) IN THE ENERGY-RANGE APPROXIMATE-TO 10-40 MEV, Physica scripta. T, 51(4), 1995, pp. 440-445
Excitation functions for the reactions Ho-165(alpha,n)Tm-168, Ho-165(a
lpha,2n)Tm-167 and Ho-165(alpha, 3n)Tm-166 have been measured in the e
nergy range approximate to 10-40 MeV using the stacked foil activation
technique and gamma ray spectroscopy. Excitation functions have also
been calculated theoretically using the semi-classical pre-equilibrium
as well as quantum mechanical statistical multistep models. The calcu
lations have been performed using a consistent/global set of parameter
s. A comparison of excitation functions with the semi-classical pre-eq
uilibrium and quantum mechanical statistical multistep calculations is
presented. Interesting trends in the pre-equilibrium fraction with pr
ojectile energy have been observed.
