We consider here radiative weak decays of charmed mesons such as D-0 -
-> ($) over bar K(0) gamma and D-s(+) --> rho(+)gamma in a quark mode
l where in general a translationally invariant SU(6) hadronic state is
described by constituent quark field operators satisfying equal time
algebra and a harmonic oscillator wave function. The model had its ear
lier success during its application to a variety of hadronic phenomena
, and here also, without any free parameters, it calculates the branch
ing ratios as Br(D-0 --> ($) over bar K(0) gamma = 1.023 x 10(-3) and
Br(D-s(+) --> rho(+)gamma) = 2.438 x 10(-3). Such calculations are ve
ry close to the estimations of Asthana and Kamal, and thus is consiste
nt with the QCD enhancement of the latter branching ratio with respect
to the former.
