Abstract
The paper presents the experimentally determined correlation functions (CF) of the bands due to IR and Raman active vibrations nu(as)SiCl(2) and nu(s)SiCl(2) of dimethyldichlorosilane (DMDCS) in pure liquid and in solutions. Both reorientational and vibrational relaxations (the l ast one being dominant) contribute to the profiles of these vibrationa l modes. Kubo-Rothschild's and Oxtoby's models compared with the exper imental CF indicate an intermediate modulation regime.
