Abstract
The rate constants of energy relaxation are measured for high-frequenc y vibrations in CHF3 and CHF2Cl in gas phase. The obtained values are extraordinarily high for V-V' exchange. The measurements carried out i n gas mixtures with different buffer gases unambiguously show a predom inant role of collision-induced intramolecular redistribution.
