Abstract
Dispersive Fourier transform spectroscopy in the visible (DFTS-VIS) is used to study the complex refractive index (n) over cap(sigma, T, rho ) of equilibrium mixtures of NO2/N2O4 near room temperature, as well a s the dispersion of (n) over cap(sigma, T, rho) of cadmium vapour up t o temperatures of 1052K. In addition, the dispersion of the complex me an dipole polarizability <(alpha)over cap>(sigma) is obtained from the se measurements.
