Statistical and factor analysis have been used to establish some gener
al equations relating retention parameters to molecular descriptors of
substituted and unsubstituted polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. They
allow the determination of the retention behaviour of these solutes in
micellar liquid chromatography using ''hybrid'' sodium dodecyl sulpha
te-water-alcohol micellar mobile phases and a Nova-Pak C-18 column.
