Abstract
A stability-indicating HPTLC method developed for the determination of propofol was used to monitor the effect of different infusion contain ers on the stability of propofol in 5% glucose. According to the resul ts, the new polypropylene-lined bags and glass bottles can safely be u sed for administration of propofol by i.v. infusion, but polyvinyl chl oride bags are not recommended.
