The results of a systematic study on compositional variation within (B
i,Pb,Cu)Sr(2)RE(1-x)Ca(x)Cu(2)O(d) with RE = Dy, Ho, Er, Y, and x betw
een 0 and 1 are reported. A nearly single-phase 1212 material was obta
ined for x less than or equal to 0.30. The bulk ceramic with x > 0.15
exhibited superconductivity, depending on the sintering temperature an
d the final annealing procedure. In dependence of x the T-conset varie
s between 68 and 85 K.
