Jl. Mills et al., SYNTHESIS OF TRIPODAL TRIPHOSPHINES AND THEIR DERIVATIVES, Phosphorus, sulfur and silicon and the related elements, 87(1-4), 1994, pp. 149-156
A general strategy for the synthesis of a series of tripodal triphosph
ines XC[(CH2)(n)PR(2)](3) (where X = H or Me, n = 1-4) has been sought
. Particular emphasis has been placed on attempts to synthesize a seri
es member XC[(CH2)(n+1)PR(2)](3) from its precursor XC[(CH2)(n)PR(2)](
3). We will present the results of our synthetic efforts, together wit
h the characterization of a number of new tripodal triphosphines and t
heir derivative oxides. Some ''ether-legged'' tripodal triphosphines h
ave also been synthesized.
