S. Failla et al., SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF AMINO-PYRIDIN-2-YL-METHYL-PHOSPHONIC ACIDS, Phosphorus, sulfur and silicon and the related elements, 88(1-4), 1994, pp. 185-188
Amino-phosphonic acids and their diethyl esters containing one or two
pyridyl moieties were synthetized in good yields, starting from the co
rresponding Shiff base as precursors. The new compounds were character
ized by H-1- and P-31-NMR spectroscopy and preliminary results indicat
e that they are able to complex with transition metals. Therefore, suc
h compounds can be of utility in diagnostic medicine, NMR imaging and
in agrochemistry.
