Abstract
A novel synthesis of 7-mercaptomethylpyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines and py razolo[4,3:6',7']pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines utilizing ketene dithioace tals and 5-aminopyrazoles as starting components is described.
