Abstract
O,O'-Dialkyl (or alkylene) dithiophosphates of trimethylaminoborane of the types B[S2P(OR)(2)](3).NMe(3) and B[S(2)POGO](3).NMe(3) (where R = Me, Et, Pr-i, Bu(i), Ph; G = CMe(2)CMe(2)- and -CH(2)CMe(2)CH(2)-) h ave been synthesized as monomeric, white crystalline solids, soluble i n common organic solvents and are characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight measurements, IR and multinuclear (H-1, B-11 and P-3 1) NMR spectral studies which are consistent with four coordinated bor on and the monodentate behaviour of the dithiophosphate moiety.
