High-field two-dimensional P-31 NMR spectroscopy (P-31-P-31 COSY) has
been used to study the regio- and stereoselectivity in the nucleophili
c substitution reactions of the (triphenylphosphazenyl)cyclotriphospha
ze N3P3Cl5(N=PPh(3)) with trifluoroethoxide or aryloxides and to ident
ify isomeric lambda(5) -bicyclic phosphazenes. The structures and conf
ormations of lambda(3)-cyclotriphosphazanes and their reactivity towar
ds transition metal derivatives and oxidation and oxidative addition r
eactions have been investigated.
