Abstract
The use of the P(3)C(2)Bu(2)(t) and P(2)C(3)Bu(3)(t) rings in (i) the synthesis of the novel hexameric P(6)C(6)Bu(6)(t) 'cage' and (ii) the first 1,2,4-triphosphacyclopentadiene and its metal complexes is descr ibed.
