Abstract

This account describes the first synthesis, characterization and react ivity of the relatively stable thiosulfinic acid salts. New approaches for the preparation of optically active sulfinic acid salts and sulfo nes, which are chiral due to O-16, O-18 isotopic substitution, as well as measurement of their chirooptical properties are also presented.
