Is. Nizamov et al., INFLUENCE OF IODINE ON THE REACTIVITY OF TETRAPHOSPHORUS TRISULFIDE IN ORGANIC-REACTIONS, Phosphorus, sulfur and silicon and the related elements, 97(1-4), 1994, pp. 173-182
The reactivity of beta-tetraphosphorus trisulfide is increased through
involvement of elemental iodine in the reactions with dialkyl disulfi
des, thioacetals and animals. The reactions of beta- and alpha-diiodot
etraphosphorus trisulfides with disulfides, thioacetals and aminals we
re studied. The proposed reaction mechanism is discussed.
