We present a Smoluchowski-like equation for subnuclear reactions which
could be applied to both proton and muon decays. Combined with the He
isenberg uncertainty principle, this phenomenological theory gives the
known functional dependence of the proton (muon) lifetimes on m(p), M
(x); (m(mu), M(w)), where m(p)(m(mu)) are proton (Ct meson) rest masse
s and M,(M,) are the threshold masses for the electroweak/strong (elec
troweak) forces unification. The stationary wave function of the react
ions is also obtained.
