Abstract
Susceptibility tests were conducted on the adults of two species of Ja panese encephalitis vectors viz., Culex pseudovishnui and C. tritaenio rhynchus against diagnostic doses of DDT, dieldrin, malathion, fenitro thion, propoxur and permethrin at different exposure duration. C. pseu dovishnui was found susceptible to permethrin and resistant to dieldri n and propoxur while C. tritaeniorhynchus was found susceptible to per methrin and resistant to DDT, dieldrin, fenitrothion and propoxur, A v erification, however, was required with other insecticides for both th e species.
