Abstract
We consider two- and three-dimensional, unsteady, compressible flows i n the low Mach number regime. Equivalence results between the vorticit y-velocity and the primitive variable formulations of the Navier-Stoke s equations are proven. We also analyze formally the integral constrai nts for the vorticity in such systems.
