Abstract
Addition of a small amount of heavy 1-olefin into a supercritical-phas e or liquid-phase FT reaction medium could significantly promote the c arbon-chain growth and greatly enhance the selectivity of waxy product s, with increased CO conversion while suppressing methane selectivity. The phenomenon was not observed in the gas-phase reaction.
