Boundary Value problems for partial differential equations posed in fi
nite rod structures [8] (connected finite unions of thin cylinders wit

an 1) are considered. The shape optimization problem is posed for such
structures. It is solved by means of the asymptotic reduction as mu t
ends to zero and iterative numerical method of frozen fluxes applied t
o the limit problem.
