Abstract
The effect of gamma-radiation and thickness on the optical energy gap of Bi-thin films has been investigated by measuring their optical abso rbance. The measurements were carried out on thermally evaporated film s having thicknesses in the range 5-20 nm. Different gamma-radiation d oses were used ranging from 0-300 Mrad. The optical energy gap as well as the absorption coefficient were found to be gamma-dose dependent.
