Abstract
The molecular structure of beryllium difluoride has been studied by me ans of gas-phase electron diffraction. The thermal average (r(g)) bond length Be-F at 758 degrees C is 1.386(3) Angstrom. The equilibrium st ructure is linear with the bond length 1.374(4) Angstrom. Force consta nts and vibrational frequencies have been obtained from gas-phase elec tron diffraction data alone.
