Abstract
With the increasing success or organ transplantation and the consequen t increasing scarcity of suitable organs, many traditional contraindic ations to organ procurement are being reconsidered. One such tradition al contraindication to organ procurement is burn injury. We report a c ase of successful multiorgan procurement from a child with an extensiv e burn and propose guidelines for solid organ harvest from burn patien ts.
