We report measurements of the longitudinal(rho(xx)) and transverse(rho
(xy)) resistivities in the mixed state of superconducting L(2-x)Ce(x)C
uO(4) (L = Sm and Nd) single crystals. We show that the Hall resistivi
ty displays a pronounced anomaly when cooling the crystals through the
transition temperature T-c(H). Just below T-c the anomalous Hall sign
al rho(xy)(H) has the same sign as in the normal state whereas at lowe
r temperatures the sign is reversed. Analysis of the resistivity data
has revealed a scaling behavior rho(xy)(H)=A rho(xx)(beta)(H) with bet
a approximate to 0.8 (+/-0.2) for all crystals. Significantly the scal
ing behavior holds for both the positive and negative regions of rho(x
y)(T, H). The significance of these results is discussed in connection
with the current models for vortex motion.
