Abstract
YIG single crystals were grown from a high temperature solution by top -seeded solution growth. The domain structure of grown crystals was in vestigated under a polarizing microscope. Magnetic domain patterns in a plate parallel to (110) face revealed a set of parallel-oriented, zi g-zag curved, long stripes. The period of zig-zag curves depended on t he cooling rates at the magnetic transition temperature, i.e. the velo city of transformation.
