Jm. Rey et al., INTERRATER RELIABILITY OF GLOBAL ASSESSMENT OF FUNCTIONING IN A CLINICAL SETTING, Journal of child psychology and psychiatry and allied disciplines, 36(5), 1995, pp. 787-792
Four studies on the inter-rater reliability of a proposed Axis V versi
on for DSM-IV and of the CGAS involving 162 child and adolescent patie
nts and 20 clinicians showed moderate agreement (intraclass correlatio
n: 0.53-0.66). This was comparable to previous versions of Axis V, but
lower than that reported for the CGAS. More detailed description of a
nchor points did not increase reliability nor there were differences i
n agreement when rating current or previous functioning.
