Abstract
A new microwave-hydrothermal technique has been used to synthesise mag nesium aluminophosphate-5, which is formed in 20 min at pressures from 130 to 175 psi and has a significantly increased surface area compare d to conventionally prepared samples; below 130 psi incomplete crystal lisation occurred.
