Abstract
The following new taxa are described: Hoffmanacarus gen. n., with the type species H. virginianus sp. n. (Achipteriidae), Kalyptrazetes amer icanus sp. n. (Microzetidae). Contributions to the knowledge of some o ther Oribatida species from soil on Big Walker Mountain, Virginia (USA ), are given.
