Abstract
Dissectolide A (1), isolated from the soft coral Sinularia dissecta to gether with two known compounds, is shown to be a highly strained norc embranolide derivative having cyclopentane, cyclohexene, cycloheptane and alpha,beta-unsaturated gamma-lactone ring systems.
