C. Paracchini et al., CURRENT AND FIELD INDEPENDENT DISSIPATION IN A BSCCO SUPERCONDUCTING FILM, Physica. C, Superconductivity, 258(3-4), 1996, pp. 222-226
The electrical resistance of a superconducting BSCCO (2212) film is ex
amined as a function of temperature, electric current and magnetic fie
ld. The large temperature dependence and the existence of current and
magnetic field independent regions suggest a thermal origin of the flu
xons. The analysis of the R(T) dependence, in agreement with the Koste
rlitz-Thouless theory, supports this hypothesis.
