Abstract
Arsenic tris(trifluoroacetate) (1) crystallizes monoclinic in the spac e group Cc with a = 1229.3, b = 1697.9, c = 1243.5 pm, beta = 110.01 d egrees, and Z = 8. The trifluoroacetic acid ions acts as chelating lig ands. Additionally they are bridging crystallographic independent mole cules. As has a coordination number of 3 + 3(+ 2). The unit cell conta ins two sets of chirameres.
