Abstract
Surgical atrial septostomy using a special atriotomy knife without car diopulmonary bypass in patients with obstruction of the left-sided atr ioventricular valve and complex cardiac anomalies is described. This p rocedure is effective, safe, and economical for patients in the acute stage after intracardiac repair, and available for patients with a clo sed fossa ovalis.
