Abstract
Three novel nitroalkyl pyridine alkaloids, untenines A, B and C, with anti-microfouling activity. were first isolated from the Okinawan mari ne sponge Callyspongia sp. Their structures were elucidated on the bas is of spectroscopic methods. The synthesis of untenine A was also carr ied out.
