Ai. Maswood et Ma. Rahman, PERFORMANCE PARAMETERS OF A PULSE-WIDTH MODULATION VOLTAGE-SOURCE INVERTER WITH PROPORTIONAL-INTEGRAL CONTROLLER UNDER NONIDEAL CONDITIONS, Electric power systems research, 38(1), 1996, pp. 19-24
Compared with the traditional pulse-width modulation (PWM) or sinusoid
al PWM voltage source inverters (VSIs), the proposed VSI with a propor
tional-integral current controller (PI VSI) offers superiority. It inc
ludes instantaneous current control and wave shaping, a fixed inverter
switching frequency independent of the output frequency resulting in
only known harmonics, and free-running carrier operation. An approach
to modeling the proposed PI VSI is introduced, an example of the VSI p
ower circuitry design is presented, and the PI controller design is di
scussed. Finally, the VSI load current is verified for harmonic conten
ts and instantaneous current control capabilities, under normal, unbal
anced, load outage and load short-circuit conditions.
