Abstract
The mydriatic response to eyedrops of the anticholinergic drug tropica mide at very low concentration (0.01%) was studied in subjects with Al zheimer's disease (AD, n=10) and multi-infarct dementia (MID, n=10). T here was no significant difference in pupillary response between the t wo groups. The test is unlikely to be useful in differentiating differ ent types of dementia.
