Li. Rudakov et Aa. Sevastyanov, FAST DYNAMICS OF THE CURRENT IN A LINER ACCELERATED BY THE MAGNETIC-FIELD OF THE CURRENT, Plasma physics reports, 22(12), 1996, pp. 993-998
A study is made of the fast two-dimensional dynamics of magnetic field
s during the implosion of a light strongly radiating Liner compressed
by its own magnetic field. A general solution to the initial electron
magnetohydrodynamic equations is derived based on the assumption that,
during the implosion, all the parts of the liner move with the same a
cceleration. On the basis of this solution, several particular nonline
ar solutions describing the temporal evolution of the scale length of
the modulation of experimentally observed radiation from the outer lay
ers of the Liner are obtained and analyzed. For one of these solutions
, the results of analytical and numerical studies are compared. Criter
ia are obtained for the stability of the implosion of an emitting line
r against the fast processes under consideration.
