Abstract
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is a common clinical problem. U sually easily diagnosed and treated, the extra-esophageal manifestatio ns of GERD and its complications are increasingly well known. Diagnost ic and treatment strategies are reviewed in this article, with an emph asis on office-based, primary care management.
