Abstract
Immediate management needs of the neonate are defined in terms of the physiology of maternal-fetal gas transport and the oxyradical hypothes is of cellular injury as it pertains to hypoemic-ischemic encephalopat hy. Resuscitation, stabilization, and assessment needs are defined as related to outcome and factors of information systems. Psychosocial an d legal issues are included as factors in neonatal management.
