Abstract
Paraurethral or Skene's duct cysts in the newborn period and early chi ldhood are readily identified by their characteristic appearance - rou nd, yellow- or orange-coloured swellings beside and distorting the ure thral orifice. Clinical examination should be followed by sonography o f the urinary tract. Natural resolution is the likely outcome and earl y surgery is not necessary.
