A. Sadaniantz et al., ISOLATED RIGHT-VENTRICULAR INFARCTION COMPLICATED BY VENTRICULAR SEPTAL-DEFECT, International journal of cardiology, 53(1), 1996, pp. 25-28
Right ventricular infarction is frequently seen with inferior myocardi
al infarction, but it rarely presents in isolation. We describe a case
of isolated right ventricular infarction complicated with ventricular
septal defect. Clinical, hemodynamic, echocardiographic, and surgical
features are discussed. Twenty months following surgical repair of th
e ventricular septal defect and two vessel coronary artery bypass surg
ery, the patient continues to do well and is free from angina and exer
tional dyspnea.
