Abstract
Tissue factor is both a trigger of blood coagulation and a true recept or inducing an intracellular signal upon binding of its ligand factor VII to its extracellular parts. When induced in endothelial cells more than 75 % of tissue factor antigen was found on the apical side of th e cell.
