This study reports the role of biplane transesophageal echocardiograph
y in monitoring surgical repairs of tetralogy of Fallot. In our patien
ts, 3 repairs were revised based on transesophageal echocardiography a
nd continuous-wave Doppler results, and intraoperative management was
altered in 2 others.
