Abstract
Eating disorders as well as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) are ch aracterized by an increase in frequency and have been interpreted as m odern epidemic diseases. Interestingly both disorders seem to be conne cted. in this setting the psychopathologic connection of both anorexia nervosa and OCD has often been described together in the scientific l iterature. Regarding the comorbidity of both disorders empiric studies are availabel since 50 years. This comorbidity represents a diagnosti c and therapeutic challenge. The consequences for the practical treatm ent will be discussed.
