Abstract
This paper describes an adaptive digital controller for a unity power factor ac-dc converter. The controller is based on a linear large-sign al model of the boost converter, A hardware design is presented and an alyzed, followed by the software implementation of the control algorit hm, Issues in digital control of power converters, such as quantizatio n effects and fixed-point representation of system parameters, are exa mined in the context of this system, Experimental results are presente d and compared with simulations.
