Abstract
Moslems and Christians, as Jews, have dietary laws, but not as much. I n the past, periods and rules of fasting were more important to Christ ians than to Jews. Today they have lost their essential importance for daily life except for Moslems. Moslem dietary laws are no simple hygi enic rules; their reasons are exclusively of religious nature.
