Abstract
I describe how exactly the intracavity fields in a dual-recycling cavi ty build up their power before achieving a steady-state value. The ana lysis is restricted to interferometers with lossless mirrors and a bea m splitter. The complete series representation of intracavity lights a t any stage of evolution in a nonsteady state is presented. (C) 1996 O ptical Society of America
