Kkk. Soe et al., MODIFIED SOL-GEL PROCESSING FOR FABRICATION OF LEAD TITANATE THIN-FILMS, Journal of physics and chemistry of solids, 57(3), 1996, pp. 259-266
Thin films of lead titanate were fabricated by chemically modified sol
-gel processing. The complex alkoxides were prepared by reacting lead
acetate with titanium tri-isopropoxide mono-acetylacetonate. Titanium
tri-isopropoxide mono-acetylacetonate was synthesized by addition of a
cetylacetone to titanium tetraisopropoxide as a chelating agent. Proce
ssing parameters were systematically investigated to fabricate homogen
eous and crack-free films. Thin films were deposited on the silica gla
ss, Si(100), and Pt/MgO(100) substrates by dip-coating. X-Ray diffract
ion analyses (XRD) were carried out for powder samples and thin films
to examine the crystalline phase, crystallographic orientation and lat
tice parameters.
