M. Aprili et al., STUDY OF MAGNETISM IN PERCOLATING NICKEL FILMS VIA THE EXTRAORDINARY HALL-EFFECT, Solid state communications, 98(3), 1996, pp. 221-225
We have studied the magnetic properties of thin inhomogeneous Ni films
in the vicinity of a percolating threshold. A detailed analysis of th
e extraordinary Hall effect as a function of temperature gives quantit
ative information on the variation of the magnetic order. We show that
the Hall effect is related to the magnetic properties at the grain sc
ale. The strength of the magnetic coupling is insensitive to the him m
orphology. The magnetic behavior is similar to that of homogeneous thi
n films.
