Abstract
A novel photo-assisted annulation was developed for the synthesis of 6 ,7-dichloroimidazo[4,5-b]quinolin-2-one. This mild ring closure method has circumvented problem associated with the previous methods and sho uld tolerate a variety of functional groups.
